Showing up on socials
14 Days of Showing Up: A Social Media Challenge for Business Owners
Let’s face it—social media can feel overwhelming. But showing up doesn’t have to be! This 14-day challenge is designed to help you unfreeze in front of the camera, spark creativity, and reignite your love for connecting online. Each day brings a fun, fresh prompt to showcase YOU, your brand, and your personality.
Day 1: Q&A Time
Post an Instagram Story with a question box inviting your audience to ask you anything. Keep it fun and light—“What’s your favorite coffee order?” or “What’s the weirdest question you’ve been asked about your business?” Don’t forget to answer them with short, engaging video clips!
Day 2: A Behind-the-Scenes Peek
Share a snapshot of your workspace, tools, or a project in progress. Example: “Here’s where the magic happens—my desk may be messy, but so is creativity!” Add a fun caption about why you love what you do.
Day 3: Your Why
Post a photo of yourself and share why you started your business. Make it personal! Did you start your baking business because you love the smell of fresh cookies? Or your photography business because storytelling makes your heart sing? Your story connects people to YOU.
Day 4: Teach Something
Record a quick reel teaching one tip your audience will love. Example: “3 ways to style a charcuterie board like a pro” or “How to pose naturally for photos (without the awkward hands!).” Keep it short and sweet, and have fun with it!
Day 5: Your Favorites
Share your top three favorites: a tool you can’t live without, a playlist that keeps you motivated, or even your go-to snack while working. Pair it with a cheerful photo of you holding one of those items!
Day 6: Before & After
Post a transformation—whether it’s a project, your workspace, or even YOU. Example: A photo of a cluttered desk vs. your current workspace. Caption it with, “Growth isn’t always glamorous, but it’s worth it!”
Day 7: Client Love
Share a glowing testimonial or review from a happy client. Add a photo of you smiling or working with a client for that personal touch.
Day 8: Fun Reel Day
Create a playful reel showing your personality. Example: A day in the life of your business in 15 seconds or a “relatable struggle” in your industry with a trending sound. Keep it light and relatable!
Day 9: Share a Work Win
Did you hit a milestone, complete a big project, or get great feedback? Share it! Post a celebratory photo and caption it with, “Hard work pays off, and today I’m proud to share this win!”
Day 10: Offer Value
Post a carousel or infographic with tips or tricks in your niche. Example: “5 ways to make your website stand out” or “3 tips for flawless icing on cookies.” End with a call to action: “Save this for later!”
Day 11: Show Your Personality
What’s one quirky, unexpected, or fun fact about you? Share it! Pair it with a casual photo of you or a selfie. Example: “I drink iced coffee year-round—yes, even in a snowstorm. What’s your go-to drink?”
Day 12: Share the Process
Show how you create your product or service from start to finish. Record snippets of each step and turn it into a reel. Example: Behind-the-scenes of decorating a cake, packaging orders, or setting up for a photoshoot.
Day 13: Throwback Post
Post an old photo of when you were just starting out. Share how far you’ve come and what you’ve learned along the way. Caption idea: “If only I could tell past me how much this journey would be worth it!”
Day 14: Go Live!
It’s time to connect in real-time! Go live for 5-10 minutes and talk about:
• A recent project you loved working on.
• A few tips your audience can use today.
• What inspired you to start your business.
End with a call to action: “Let me know in the comments what YOU’D like to see next!”
This 14-day challenge isn’t just about posting—it’s about building confidence, creating connections, and rediscovering the joy of showing up for your business.
